You can obtain a reference for some of the best Lyme Disease doctors in the country by contacting ILADS or the guideline members Daniel Cameron, Andrea Gaito, Nick Harris, Gregory Bach, Sabra Bellovin, Kenneth Bock, Steven Bock, Joseph Burrascano, Constance Dickey, Richard Horowitz, Steven Phillips, MD Laurence Meer-Scherrer, Bernard Raxlen, Virginia Sherr, Harold Smith, Pat Smith President, and Raphael Stricker. The function of ILADS is not neccesarrily to be a referal hub and you may find that many of the doctors listed here are waist deeping research project surrounding Lyme. But ILADS and the guideline doctors can at least get you started in the right direction.

They should respond in 5 business days. However do your research on whoever you choose. For NC I was given 6 names from various resources and one of them was a doctor who specialized in 'alternative treatments'. Public Health Department included this person because some people do not like Western Medicine. However I personally see a bacterial infections as the stuff of standard medicine. They have been treating Lyme and Chronic Lyme in Connecticut for 30 years. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel with exotic alternative remedies that have shown no efficacy. So I threw that one name out. I looked at the other 5 and only 1 person had a the conservative well documented treatment plan I was looking for.
