Lyme and other Tick born disease infected individuals commonly experience nausea diarrhea and vomiting as a result of other infections or as a side-effect of medications. Nausea diarrhea and vomiting lasting more than two days must be stopped. Consult your doctor in this case. Most people don't even want to think about eating when they feel sick to their stomach. But not eating will just make you sicker and my interupt your treatment protocol. Ask your doctor for promethazine for persistent nausea.
DO: Daily eat yogart,acidophilus or take Florastor. Wait two hours after taking antibiotics before eating yogart,acidophilus or taking probiotic Florastor.
DO Eat:
oatmeal
cream of wheat,
farina
potatoes
plain toast or crackers.
skinless chicken or turkey
low-fat meats and fish
hard-boiled eggs
smooth peanut butter
low-fat cheese or yogurt
applesauce
bananas
pureed vegetables
canned fruits
Juices - grape, orange, cranberry, peach, and apricot juices and nectars.
Eat foods at or near room temperature. Do not eat very hot or very cold food.
Do NOT
eat out or have some one else cook "mystery" food.
Butter, grease or oil
eat Spices or excess salt, or herbs
Carbonation. If you drink Coke or Pepsi - drink it flat.
For persistent diarrhea try the BRAT diet
B - bananas, boiled potatoes without skin, baked sweet potatoes without skin.
R - rice (steamed),* cream of rice cereal, rice water.**
A - apple sauce, baked apple without the peel.
T - tea without caffeine and white bread toast, unsalted plain crackers.
Avoid stressful people or situations.
